At Union Savings Bank, we believe in the power of fostering community development and addressing local needs. As part of our dedication to reinvesting in our communities, we’re excited to announce that we’re now accepting grant proposals for 2024.

With the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), banks, like ours are empowered to invest in local initiatives that foster economic prosperity and enhance the quality of life for low- and moderate-income individuals and neighborhoods.

Union Savings Bank understands the significance of investing in the community, and we aim to create a meaningful impact through grant programs. To help us achieve this goal, we invite organizations like yours to submit proposals that align with our mission, and contribute to the well-being of the communities we proudly serve.

Proposal Guidelines:

Please carefully review our proposal guidelines to ensure you provide a comprehensive, well-prepared submission. Please consider the following when preparing the proposal.

  • Clearly articulate your organization’s mission, objectives, and past community impact.
  • Describe the specific project or program for which funding is being sought, highlighting its goals, target beneficiaries, and anticipated outcomes.
  • Include a detailed budget outlining the requested grant amount and establish how the funds will be used effectively.
  • Provide a timeline for project implementation, including key milestones and deliverables.
  • Encourage collaborative approaches and partnerships with other community organizations, if applicable.
  • Emphasize the importance of sustainability and the long-term impact of your proposed project.

Review and Evaluation:

All submitted proposals will undergo a review and evaluation process by a dedicated committee of Union Savings Bank representatives and community stakeholders. We’ll assess proposals based on their alignment with our community reinvestment goals, potential impact, feasibility, sustainability, and organizational capacity.

Award Announcement:

The awarded grants for 2024 will be announced in December 2023. We’ll notify organizations of the grant decisions through email, phone, or official correspondence. We value all organizations that take time to submit proposals and will ensure that they receive notification of our decision.
